Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen is missing from the Linnean collections annual, T, 2n=72, octoploid hydrophyle to hygrophyle, from the steppe zone up to the upper nemoral belt Palearctic Nanocyperetalia, Cyperetalia fuscae R53 habitats             A quite common species of reed which strongly resembles Cyperus flavescens.
